Bowen Island Golf Club 2010 AGM - The Annual General Meeting will be held at Cates Hill Chapel on Friday August 13th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday Evening Ladies Golf - The Bowen Island Golf Club introduces the start of a Wednesday evening golf league for ladies. For those members and public that cannot find the time to play in Thursday morning ladies league this is your chance to be part of a fun filled golf series with individual, team and theme events. For more information on how you can be part of the fastest growing sport on Bowen, email organizer Casey Grundy at grundy1@telus.net.
Snack Shack Re-Opens!!! - The Snack Shack is open 7 days a week from 10am-6pm.
The Menu includes: Burgers, Hot Dogs, Sandwiches, Panini's, Snacks, Baked Goodies and Cold Beverages.
HOW TWEET IT IS! - Members of the Bowen Island community are invited to support the Bowen Island public golf course in a novel, functional, sustainable and memorable manner.
Eighteen (18) working birdhouses are being installed throughout the course where it is appropriate to indicate the 100, 150 and 200 yard distances to the greens. This will not only help with club selection, and improve pace of play, it will also help the Bowen Island Golf Club qualify for Audubon certification as these are not just ornamental structures, they are working birdhouses which will provide affordable housing for our fine feathered friends. This initiative is not just “for the birds”, or for the betterment of one’s game, it is a novel and permanent way to remember a loved one or friend and a great way to support the Club.
